A Few Groovy Blogs

Being a newbie in the yoga blogger world, I’ve learned that maintaining a blog is no easy task. I’m enjoying communicating with the world and sharing Yoga insights, but sometimes writing a blog post can feel like a dreaded homework assignment. There are countless Yoga websites out there in the blogosphere and I thought I’d share some of my favourites that I think show dedication and creativity. Here they are in no particular order:

Yoga with Paul – Paul is a Yoga instructor in London and his website is full of practical tips and explicit instruction on poses. He also shares his knowledge on anatomy, yummy recipes and his photos are clear and effective.

Half Moon Yoga and Art – Hannah Faulkner is a creative Yogi based in California. She has done an amazing job incorporating Yoga with art and I like how her passions for both shine through in her blog.

Bad Yogi – Erin Motz has a huge following. What I appreciate about her work is that she strives to give the gift of Yoga to all shapes and sizes. Her motto is, “The ‘perfect’ body is simply the healthiest version of the body you already have.”

Xanadu Yoga – Every time I go to this website my first thought is of Olivia Newton-John in a sexy black jumpsuit and the wind blowing her feathered hair as she belts out Xanadu. Brytta Byers writes a blog for Yoga teachers as she travels around the world teaching Yoga and exploring the people and cultures of this planet. She keeps her blog updated and I like to see her travel photos.

Ecstatic Bass Yoga and Yoga of Bass– The creator of this blog, Claire Thompson, seems to have gone quiet, but I still wanted to give a shout out to this fantastic Yogi and musical artist. She has performed at various festivals and she shares her soundtracks on Soundcloud.
