Just two days to go until I head off to Tucson, Arizona for a seven-day Yoga retreat under the desert sky. For months I had debated whether or not to attend since I had just done some Yoga teacher training with the Lotus Flow founder Jasmine Tarkeshi back in August. Here’s my blog post about that training. Finally, in mid-December I decided to sign up for the LifeForce Yoga retreat in Tucson and I can’t wait!
LifeForce Yoga was founded by Amy Weintraub who wrote the book, Yoga for Depression. Her practices are primarily evidence-based and it is intentionally designed to work with and manage mood. Those of us attending the retreat will learn how to enhance our current Yoga classes we offer with Pranayama breathing techniques, meditation and imagery to regulate emotions and mood.
