Joining an online music subscription service took me awhile. Call me old school, but I preferred to hold the album in my hand, be it vinyl or a CD. I loved my Walkman! I did eventually adapt and bought whole albums and singles on iTunes. With my iPod clipped to the waistline of my leggings or jeans, I was plugged in and ready with an ever-rotating list of songs from various music genres.
Depending on the mood, I had what I needed: classical for pilates, My Chemical Romance, Muse and The Killers for a good run through the park, blues or jazz while cooking in the kitchen and last but not least, Krishna Das for my yoga sessions.
Almost two years ago I finally made the leap to an online subscription service, Spotify. I love the variety and the accessibility is out of this world. I can listen to practically any new album out there. I do try to challenge the Spotify robot that predicts my interests by shaking things up with some Industrial, Trancecore, Champagne Music, Rockabilly, etc…
I don’t use Industrial for my Yoga practice, but here are a few Yoga lists that may help you meet the mood during your practice:
Yoga Jazz
Yoga Girl Playlist of the Month
Yoga Flow – alexasearth
Sunrise Yoga
Piano Yoga
Piano Bar
Instrumental Country for Yoga
This is Krishna Das
