My Chair Yoga Devotees
As I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts, I’ve had the great pleasure to expand my Yoga teaching offerings to teach Chair Yoga at a local retirement village. This month marks our one year anniversary and we celebrated with some new advanced moves to open the upper back and some yummy macadamia nut and white chocolate cookies to top off the event.
Over the past year we’ve been practising once a week and their dedication to Yoga is admirable. I’ve seen these individuals physically improve as they’ve found more length in their spines, deeper rotation in twists and more confidence when doing balancing poses. In addition, many devotees have enjoyed the breath work (Pranayama) to keep the lungs full and vibrant.
It’s not just the students who have benefited from my class. I too have benefited as I have come to enjoy these new friendships and I look forward to catching up with them each week. They are an inspiration to me and they prove it’s never too late to Revel in Motion.
